  • 🐟Cod Fillet4 fillets
  • 🥔Potato800g
  • 🌾Plain Flour200g
  • 🥚Eggs1
  • 🧂Salt1 tsp
  • 🛢️Vegetable Oilfor frying
  • 🍋Lemon1
  • 🟢Peas(optional)200g

Method

    Peel and cut potatoes into thick chips. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes.

    Dry chips thoroughly. Fry at 160°C for 5 minutes, then drain.

    Mix flour, salt and egg with cold water to make batter.

    Pat fish dry and coat in batter.

    Fry fish at 180°C for 5-6 minutes until golden.

    Fry chips again at 190°C for 3 minutes until crispy.

    Serve with lemon wedges and mushy peas.
